Our story

Cambodian gemstones specialists

We only sell natural stones and we specialise in Cambodian gemstones. All the stones have been hand-selected.

Mining and prospecting

Several times a year we travel around Cambodia to meet the people who prospect for the stones or mine them, from the zircon miners of Ratanakiri in the far north-east of the country to the ruby and sapphire prospectors in Pailin, close to the border with Thailand.

Conflict-free stones

In some other Asian countries gemstone mining is controlled by the military or drug lords, and some mines are so dangerous that dozens of people can die in a single incident. That’s not the case in Cambodia.

Our stones are conflict-free. We buy from individuals and small family businesses.

We don’t stock jewellery made from red coral, turtle shell, ivory, or other materials that are often taken illegally from endangered sources.

Made in Cambodia

Our jewellery manufacture is all done in Cambodia.

For many years the best quality rough gemstones have been taken out of Cambodia, and other countries have gained much of the benefit from cutting and polishing them and making into jewellery. We are keen to see Cambodia benefit more from its own natural wealth.
